Keep custom worksheet text private
Know where your worksheet text goes and what saving, sharing and clearing a file means.
The public library uses fixed examples and fictional names. To make a personal worksheet, choose Use this worksheet and wait for the private workbench to open before typing.
What happens in the private workbench
| Part of the task | Data boundary |
|---|---|
| Entering text | The text stays in the workbench’s memory by default. |
| Laying out the page | The local font and browser code shape and arrange the text. |
| Previewing or exporting | The browser creates worksheet geometry and local files. |
| Saving a project | A downloaded JSON file intentionally includes your text and settings. |
| Clearing the workspace | The current workspace text is cleared; existing downloaded files remain on your device. |
The workbench processes your text on your device. It loads the site’s own application files and has no advertising, third-party analytics or session replay. Your words are not added to the page address or sent to a conversion server.
Local files still contain personal information
A PDF or SVG shows the words you chose to print. A project file keeps those words in editable form. All use generic filenames, so check the contents before sharing and delete copies you no longer need.
What Clear workspace does
Use Clear workspace when you finish on a shared computer. That clears the editor, but downloaded files, printouts and backups remain wherever you saved them. Save a project before leaving if you want to keep unfinished work.
Network activity and public pages
The browser still makes ordinary requests to load the site, scripts and fonts. Public-page services may differ from the private workbench if they are enabled later. The privacy notice explains this distinction.
